# Set up Adam

> Find your way around Adam and choose the account settings that matter to you.

When you first sign in, Adam creates a personal team for you. You can use it on your own or join a shared team later.

## Learn the navigation

The sidebar contains **New Task**, **Tasks**, **Files**, **Integrations**, and **Scheduled**. It also shows recent tasks. Use the team switcher near the bottom of the sidebar when your account belongs to more than one team.

Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select **Settings**.

## Configure settings

| Tab | What you can manage |
| - | - |
| **General** | Light, dark, or system appearance on the current device. |
| **Account** | Your account details, account-management link, sign-out, and account deletion. |
| **Team** | Your shared team's name, seats, invitations, and members. This tab appears when you are in a shared team. |
| **Notifications** | Browser and product notification preferences. |
| **Billing** | Your plan, usage, subscription, payment method, and add-on funds. |
| **Memory** | Review or remove information Adam remembers across tasks. |

## Connect your tools

You can use Adam without connecting another product. When you want Adam to work directly with a CAD, PLM, or cloud tool, open **Integrations** and choose it from the list.

* [Autodesk Fusion](/integrations/fusion) uses the Adam add-in for Fusion.
* [SolidWorks and other supported desktop applications](/integrations/desktop-connector) use the Adam Desktop Connector.
* [Arena](/integrations/arena) connects to your Arena account.

## Switch between teams

If you belong to more than one team, use the team switcher at the bottom of the sidebar. Your tasks, files, integrations, and billing change with the selected team.

  You are ready to use Adam when you can open **New Task** and send a message. Connect other tools only when you want Adam to work with them directly.
