Use Adam with a connected CAD application when you want to work in its native document. You can also attach files for review or ask Adam to generate a model in its task environment. Tell Adam which application and output format you need so it can check the appropriate tools before starting.

Choose the job

Modeling

Create geometry, change parameters, and preserve mating interfaces.

Engineering drawings

Plan views, add dimensions, and deliver a drawing for review.

Drawing review

Check coverage, readability, and agreement with the source model.

Manufacturing review

Review machining, molding, sheet metal, and assembly concerns.

Tolerance analysis

Trace a dimension chain and calculate a functional gap or fit.

Drawing to model

Reconstruct geometry from dimensioned views and sections.

Mesh to CAD

Use a mesh as a reference and distinguish fitted geometry from measurements.

Batch operations

Apply a reviewed operation to an explicit list of files.

Repair a model

Find the first failing feature or reference and check the repair.

Documentation and release

Assemble instructions, review records, and a traceable handoff.

Give Adam the design intent

A shape alone rarely captures the whole requirement. Include dimensions and units, manufacturing process, material, interfaces that must stay fixed, and the output you expect. For an existing design, identify the document, configuration, and revision.
Start with an inspection of the current design

Check the outcome

Ask for the editable source, any required exports, and a short verification summary. The summary should say what changed, which dimensions or interfaces were checked, and what remains unresolved. Review the native model and exported file together when both will be used downstream. If you need loads, stresses, or fluid behavior rather than geometry checks, continue with simulation workflows.
