Connect Siemens NX to inspect geometry, create and edit native models through NX Open, and capture the native viewport. Adam connects to NX on your Windows workstation through its bundled bridge.

Before you begin

  • Use a Windows workstation with a working, licensed NX installation.
  • Install the Desktop Connector under the same Windows account as NX.

Connect

1

Pair the NX workstation

In Adam, open Integrations > Siemens NX and follow Desktop Connector setup. Reuse the existing pairing if this workstation is already connected to your Adam account.
2

Load the bundled bridge

Open NX normally. If NX was already open during connector installation, save your work and restart NX once so the registered Adam bridge can load.
3

Open and verify the work part

Wait for NX to finish starting, open the intended part, and keep NX and the connector running. Check access with the read-only request below.
Check the NX work part

Use the connection

Specify the work part, dimensions, and geometric constraints in your request. For a change to an existing design, identify the features and interfaces to preserve, then ask for an update and measurement check. Use CAD modeling or drawing to model to structure the task.

If it does not connect

  • The workstation is paired but NX is unavailable: confirm that NX and the connector use the same Windows account, then save and restart NX if it was open during installation.
  • The wrong part is active: confirm the work part and displayed part before requesting changes.
  • A modeling job was interrupted: ask Adam to inspect the current job and model state before retrying an operation.
